Linda Kenney In 1999, after nearly losing her life as the result of an adverse medical event, Linda Kenney came to know first-hand the gaping hole in the current health care system – the lack of support available for patients, family members, and clinicians in cases of medically induced trauma. Since that time, she has dedicated her energies toward providing that support, furthering education for those affected, and increasing awareness on this issue and its impact on patient safety. In 2002, Linda founded the non-profit corporation Medically Induced Trauma Support Services, or (MITSS). As President and Founder of this corporation, she has identified the need for support services in cases of adverse events and has outlined an agenda for change.
