• To facilitate a statewide system of care that prevents patient harm from healthcare associated infections

Purpose

1. To facilitate a collaborative statewide network to effectively reduce/prevent HAIs through organizational transformation, education, communication, information, and research
2. To actively support efforts by other groups statewide and promote collaboration of different groups focused on HAI prevention

Global Outcome Goal

• Decrease HAI
• Promoting compliance of aseptic technique throughout all healthcare systems (Sepsis Prevention)
• Find the best ways to eliminate harm to patients by creating a statewide model

Committee Goal:

• Work together to find the best practices to eliminate HAI across the state
• Reset expectations while finding the best ways to communicate
• Expand education to all key players
• Give guidance and direction of statewide projects
• Coordinate all activities of HAI
